Summary The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all electrical aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive electrical knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Electrical Superintendent ensures that all electrical work complies with safety standards, codes, and regulations while meeting project deadlines and budget constraints. Duties and Responsibilities Oversee and manage all electrical installations and maintenance activities on construction sites. Develop and implement detailed project plans and schedules. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals. Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to electrical foremen, journeymen, and apprentices. Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment on project goals and updates. Ensure all electrical work meets or exceeds industry standards and client specifications. Conduct regular inspections and quality checks. Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations. Conduct safety training and ensure all team members are aware of potential hazards and safe work practices. Monitor project budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including blueprints, progress reports, and change orders. Prepare and submit detailed reports to project managers and clients. Liaise with other trades and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process. Qualifications Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field is preferred. A minimum of 5 years of experience with a general contractor or 10 years as a trade foreman. In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
