Sunbelt Staffing is currently hiring an experienced Travel IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) RN for a 16-week assignment in Plattsburgh, NY. This is a great opportunity for a registered nurse looking to expand their skills in a progressive care setting while exploring the scenic beauty of Plattsburgh and the surrounding Adirondack region.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active RN license in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent IMCU or Stepdown experience.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Proficiency in handling critical care equipment and monitoring vital signs.Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments, including those with cardiac, respiratory, and neurological conditions.
  • Monitor and manage patients on advanced life support equipment such as ventilators, BiPAP, and IV drips.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and document patient care accurately using the hospital’s EMR system.
  • Educate patients and families about disease management and post-discharge care.
