Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This role supports a Labor & Delivery unit providing care for both routine and high-risk obstetric patients in a structured acute care environment. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for experienced L&D nurses who are confident managing labor progression, high-risk pregnancies, and assisting in surgical deliveries within a fast-paced hospital setting. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Night shift 4x12s (18:45–07:15) • Patient ratio: 1:3 :contentReference[oaicite:0]index=0 • 15-bed unit • Weekend requirement: every other weekend • Block scheduling available • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage laboring patients and monitor fetal well-being • Perform cervical exams and labor progression assessments • Administer medications including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate • Assist with vaginal deliveries and high-risk births • Circulate and recover C-section patients • Provide neonatal support including APGAR scoring and newborn care • Monitor and respond to obstetric emergencies • Document patient care in Epic EMR WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital setting • Labor & Delivery unit (15 beds) • High-risk OB patient population • Epic charting system • Scrubs provided Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting.
