Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced LDRP Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Polson, Montana. This role supports a critical access hospital where nurses provide full-spectrum OB care including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care in a low-volume, high-responsibility setting. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for LDRP nurses who are confident working independently in a smaller facility, managing all aspects of OB care, and stepping in to support additional duties when patient census is low. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Night shift 3x12s (19:00–07:00) • Patient ratios 1:1 to 6:1 depending on census :contentReference[oaicite:0]index=0 • Average daily census: 2 patients • 3-room LDRP unit within 22-bed critical access hospital • Weekend requirement: every other • Floating required within OB scope and limited support tasks • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide full LDRP care including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care • Perform sterile vaginal exams and triage obstetrical patients • Circulate for C-sections and assist with OB procedures • Monitor fetal heart tones using wireless fetal monitoring • Manage postpartum hemorrhage interventions including JADA device • Support newborn care and stabilization • Assist with IV starts and general nursing support when census is low • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care • Document care in Epic EMR WORK ENVIRONMENT • Critical access hospital (22 beds) • LDRP unit (3 rooms) • Low census, high autonomy environment • Epic charting system • Scrubs: any color (OR scrubs provided) Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting.
