JOB DESCRIPTION
The Prime Minister’s Office seeks to appoint a Travel and Logistics Manager to the Events and Visits team. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to develop high profile operations experience through the delivery of high quality events, visits, domestic tours and foreign trips for senior Government Ministers.
The role involves the delivery of the PM’s domestic and overseas travel. You will work in close collaboration with the Senior Travel and Logistics Manager and the whole of the Events and Visits team. You will work with senior teams across Whitehall and overseas as well as a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will be part of a team looking after day-to-day budget management, forecasting and fiscal reporting for the domestic and overseas visit budgets. You will also be responsible for ensuring the department’s compliance with accountability and transparency obligations.
You will need to react quickly and calmly to changing circumstances, able to show initiative, and have exceptional organisational and financial management skills. You will have past experience working in high profile and high pressure environments.
The successful candidate will have experience of independently leading on events and travel operations and budget planning. Any knowledge of working in an events or press office team is beneficial. The role will involve domestic and international travel.
