Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a travel assignment in Wilmington, North Carolina. This role supports a high-volume nuclear medicine department performing advanced diagnostic imaging across cardiac, oncology, and general nuclear medicine studies. POSITION OVERVIEW This assignment is ideal for seasoned Nuclear Medicine Techs with strong cardiac and SPECT experience who are comfortable working in fast-paced hospital environments and managing a wide variety of imaging procedures. ASSIGNMENT DETAILS • 13-week contract • Day shift 5x8s (08:30–17:00) • Block schedule (Monday–Friday) • Patient ratio 1:4 :contentReference[oaicite:0]index=0 • Average daily census: 16 studies • On-call required (rotating nights) • Weekend requirement: every 3rd weekend • No float required • 1 position available COMPENSATION Because travel rates change frequently based on market demand and facility needs, our recruiters provide the most current and competitive pay packages during your initial conversation. CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES • Perform nuclear medicine procedures including cardiac, oncology, and general imaging studies • Conduct SPECT imaging and myocardial perfusion studies • Perform procedures including HIDA, MUGA, gastric emptying, and tumor localization • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and maintain radiation safety standards • Perform venipuncture and IV access as needed • Operate Siemens imaging equipment and utilize PACS systems • Collaborate with radiology and cardiology teams for diagnostic accuracy • Document procedures in Epic EMR WORK ENVIRONMENT • Acute care hospital and outpatient mix • Nuclear medicine and cardiac imaging department • Adult and pediatric patient populations • Epic and Pyxis systems • Scrubs: Royal Blue Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting.
