FULL JOB DESCRIPTION
Big Hearts Home Healthcare was founded to fill the need for compassionate and accessible home care services for every member of our community. Since then, we have been recognized by the Chamber of Commerce as Business of the Year 2022 and by Readers’ Digest as the Best In-Home Care Company (2019, 2020 & 2021). We have established relationships with professionals and specialists, including occupational therapists and hospitals discharge nurses, as well as organizations such as WorkSafe, Pacific Blue Cross, Canada Life and other insurance providers.
We service injured workers, accident victims, discharged patients and others. This position will be within the local area and applicants are encouraged to have a car to commute to client homes. Applicants are invited to apply, and interviews will be held at the end of this week.
EXPERIENCE:
Recent and significant experience (+5 years) as a Registered Nurse (RN) providing Community Health or Primary Care nursing services in one or more of the following areas:
1. Community Health (Public Health and Home and Community Care)
2. Primary Care
3. Urgent or Emergency Care
4. Acute or Intensive Care
Job Types: casual, part time, full time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Valid license with no restrictions as a registered nurse in a province or territory of Canada.
Community Health Nurses deliver comprehensive health services in First Nations communities. They are responsible for in-depth nursing knowledge, skills, clinical expertise and advanced judgement through consultation, clinical practice, and leadership. They facilitate knowledge transfer through health promotion and disease prevention and conduct mental health assessments and referrals.
