Position Overview Heartline Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Perfusionist for a 13-week assignment in Greenville, South Carolina. This role is designed for a highly skilled perfusionist with advanced cardiac experience who is comfortable working in fast-paced, emergent surgical environments across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in ECMO cannulation and ECMO transport, and must be able to independently support complex cardiac procedures in a Level 1 Trauma setting. This assignment requires a confident, experienced traveler who can integrate quickly into a high-acuity CVOR team. Compensation Gross: $5,846/week | W2: $115/hr | Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246/week • Housing Stipend: $770/week • Meals & Incidentals: $476/week • Overtime: $172.50/hr • On-Call: $5/hr • Charge: $3/hr • Holiday: 1.35x Available Positions • 1 Opening • 13 Week Assignment • Start Date: 04/13/2026 • Schedule: Day 5x8 Hour Shifts (08:00 - 16:30) • On-Call Required • Shift times may vary based on department needs Key Responsibilities • Operate and manage cardiopulmonary bypass during cardiac surgical procedures • Independently assist with ECMO cannulation for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients • Support ECMO transport for patients requiring cardiopulmonary support • Provide perfusion support in CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, and Pediatric General OR environments • Support complex cardiac procedures including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, ASD/VSD repair, MAZE procedures, and pericardial window cases • Manage advanced perfusion techniques including cardioplegia delivery, anticoagulation, and hypothermic circulatory arrest • Monitor patient status and perfusion parameters throughout surgical procedures • Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams in high-acuity settings Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of perfusion experience required • Travel experience required • No first-time travelers • Clinical Perfusionist (ABCP) certification required • BLS and ACLS certifications required • Minimum 1 year of Epic experience required • Teaching hospital experience required • Community hospital experience required • Trauma Level I experience required Why Join This Team • High-acuity cardiac assignment with exposure to advanced surgical cases • Opportunity to work across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations • Strong weekly compensation with tax-free stipend opportunities • Collaborative surgical team environment • Assignment suited for experienced perfusionists seeking complex, high-level cases Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a related field • Clinical Perfusionist ABCP certification • Active BLS and ACLS certifications • Minimum 5 years of perfusion experience • Proven experience with ECMO cannulation and ECMO transport • Experience in CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, Pediatric General OR, and Level 1 Trauma settings • Experience with Epic EMR • Experience with Spectrum Pump, Terumo System 1, Quest MPS 2/3 Cardioplegia, I-STAT, Centrimag, Impella 5.5, Bellmont Hyperthermia Kit, CardioHelp, Angiovac, and CardioQuip HC • Ability to work 5x8 schedule with on-call requirements • Must be comfortable in fast-paced emergent cardiac environments Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting.
