Position Overview Heartline Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Perfusionist for a high-acuity cardiac program in South Carolina. This role is ideal for a highly skilled clinician with advanced perfusion expertise who thrives in fast-paced, emergent cardiac environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations and must be able to independently assist with ECMO cannulation and ECMO transport. This assignment requires a confident and autonomous provider capable of managing complex cardiopulmonary bypass procedures and advanced mechanical circulatory support systems. Compensation Gross: $5,846/week | W2: $115/hr | Tax-Free Stipend: $1,246/week Breakdown • Housing Stipend: $770/week • Meals & Incidentals: $476/week • Overtime: $172.50/hr (after 40 hours) • On-Call: $5/hr • Charge: $3/hr • Holiday: 1.35x Available Positions • 1 Travel Perfusionist Opening • 13 Week Assignment • Start Date: April 13, 2026 • Schedule: 5x8 Hour Shifts (Day Shift – hours may vary) • On-Call Required Key Responsibilities • Operate and manage cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) during cardiac surgical procedures • Independently assist with ECMO cannulation across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients • Support ECMO transport operations as required • Manage advanced perfusion techniques including cardioplegia delivery and hypothermic circulatory arrest • Monitor perfusion parameters including flow rates, anticoagulation, and acid-base balance • Provide intraoperative support for procedures including CABG, valve replacements, and TAVR • Utilize advanced perfusion equipment and monitoring systems • Respond to emergent cardiac events including cardiac arrest and trauma cases • Collaborate closely with surgical and anesthesia teams in high-acuity environments Qualifications • Minimum 5 years of perfusion experience required • Travel experience required (no first-time travelers) • Clinical Perfusionist (ABCP) certification required • BLS and ACLS certifications required • Minimum 1 year Epic experience required • Experience in Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital environments required Why Join This Team • High-acuity cardiac program with advanced surgical exposure • Opportunity to expand ECMO and mechanical circulatory support expertise • Collaborative, experienced surgical team environment • Strong compensation package with premium pay and stipends • Exposure to complex and specialized cardiac procedures Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a related field • Clinical Perfusionist (ABCP) certification • Active BLS and ACLS certifications • Minimum 5 years perfusion experience • Proven ECMO cannulation and transport experience • Experience across CVOR, General OR, Pediatric CVOR, and Trauma Level 1 settings • Epic EMR experience • Ability to work 5x8 schedule with on-call requirements • Must be comfortable in fast-paced emergent cardiac environments Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting.
