Overview Registered Nurse – ICU (Neuro Medicine ICU) Rochester, New York, United States Start date: 07/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts Weekly pay: $2,010–$2,186 per week Guaranteed hours: 0 Unit/setting: Neuro Medicine ICU—a brand-new, state-of-the-art 12-bed unit delivering specialized critical care to neurologic patients Key Highlights - Weekly pay range: $2,010–$2,186 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 12-hour shifts; D/E/N rotation - Start date: 07/06/2026 - Neuro ICU unit: 12-bed, high-acuity neuro critical care - On-call, holidays, and callback per unit needs Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care to critically ill neuro patients in a 12-bed ICU, including diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other neurologic pathologies - Monitor neuro status, telemetry, hemodynamics, medications, and ventilation as appropriate; implement ICU protocols and escalation plans - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (ne neurology, neurosurgery, respiratory therapy, physical/occupational therapy, case management) to develop and execute individualized care plans - Perform timely assessments, administer therapies, manage lines and drains, and document changes in condition; participate in holidays/on-call/callback duties and assume unit charge responsibilities as needed - Respond to emergencies, participate in rapid response and code events, and uphold patient safety, infection control, and documentation standards - Maintain current knowledge of critical care practices; participate in ongoing education and quality improvement activities Requirements - RN license active in New York (NYRN) - Minimum 2 years of ICU acute care experience - Telemetry monitoring experience - BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) - Ability to work in a high-acuity neuro ICU environment with D/E/N rotation and on-call responsibilities Benefits and Support - 24/7 recruiter and travel support - Credentialing and onboarding assistance - Assignment coordination and ongoing support throughout the contract - Access to nationwide opportunities and career growth within the healthforce network Find more opportunities If you’re exploring additional openings, apply to Healthforce Healthcare LLC to view other travel nursing opportunities at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
