Overview Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Brattleboro, Vermont, starting 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $2,482 to $2,512 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Work setting is a hospital-based Birthing Center, a level 1 low-risk birth unit with single-room maternity care, caring for obstetrical patients and newborns within inpatient or outpatient status. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,482–$2,512 per week - Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 3x12 Nights - Start date: 08/03/2026 - Work setting: Birthing Center within a hospital; level 1 low-risk unit with single-room maternity care Responsibilities - Assess health status of individuals and groups, establish nursing diagnoses, plan goals, and implement the plan of care; document responses to interventions. - Provide labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care; monitor fetal status; assist with cesarean births and epidurals as part of intrapartum management. - Perform or assist with venipuncture, manage IV therapy, and support newborn stabilization and normal newborn care. - Maintain accurate electronic charting and documentation; participate in care planning and care coordination with the multidisciplinary team. - Support family-centered care and Orem’s self-care framework; collaborate with anesthesia, neonatal staff, and other disciplines to ensure safety and quality outcomes. - Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide ongoing education and emotional support to patients and families.
