Overview Registered Nurse – Oncology, Geneva, NY Travel assignment starting 07/20/2026 for 14 weeks Weekly pay range: $1,832–$1,898 per week Guaranteed hours: 0.0 Shift: 3x12 rotating (day/night) with weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as scheduled Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $1,832–$1,898 per week - Contract duration: 14 weeks - Shift: 3x12 rotating (day/night) - Start date: 07/20/2026 - On-call and holiday coverage included (2 on-call shifts per 4 weeks) - Work setting: Med/Surg Oncology care in a short term acute care hospital Responsibilities - Deliver direct nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical conditions, including oncology-related needs - Assess patient and family needs; develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team - Monitor patient progress, reassess, and adjust the care plan as conditions change - Educate patients and families on self-care, medications, symptom management, and discharge planning - Promote safety and infection prevention; advocate for patient rights; coordinate care with physicians and support staff - Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient education, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Requirements - NYS Registered Nurse license (active required) - BLS and ACLS (AHA or RQI) required - NIHSS certification required - Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience - Ability to care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients in a medical/surgical setting - Ability to work a 3x12 rotating schedule with on-call shifts and holiday coverage as scheduled Benefits and Support - 24/7 recruiter and travel support - Dedicated support throughout the assignment - Nationwide travel assignments - Extension opportunities available Find more opportunities Explore additional openings from Healthforce Healthcare LLC at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply.
