Overview Registered Nurse – PCU/IMCU Utica, New York, United States Start date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $2,997–$3,078 per week Guaranteed hours: 48 per week Shift: Day shift; 12-hour blocks; 4 days per week Setting: Travel assignment in a hospital environment with IMCU/PCU responsibilities Key Highlights - Weekly pay range: $2,997–$3,078 per week - Guaranteed hours: 48 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Day shift, 12-hour blocks, 4 days per week - Start date: 06/08/2026 - Local rate eligibility for candidates within 75 miles; Floating to related units as needed Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care for adults in the IMCU/PCU, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op clinical scenarios - Monitor, assess, and document patient status; administer medications; manage ventilator support and related devices (e.g., chronic vents) with RT assistance as needed; perform frequent rounds and respond to patient changes - Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the multidisciplinary team; participate in care planning and discharge planning; communicate changes in condition promptly - Utilize EPIC EMR for charting, orders, and care plans; ensure accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes - Float to related units as needed to support patient care; maintain patient and family education on treatment plans and safety - Adhere to safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements; respond to clinical emergencies per hospital protocols Requirements - Active New York registered nurse license with Nursys verification - Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications - Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience (travel or staff) with adult patient population - EPIC EMR experience required - Ability to work in an IMCU/PCU setting with related devices and monitoring - RTO (Requests for Time Off) must be included at submission Benefits and Support - Guaranteed hours - 24/7 recruiter and travel support - Housing assistance - Fast credentialing - Extension opportunities - Nationwide assignments - Dedicated support throughout the assignment - Referral bonus up to $1,000 Find more opportunities If this role isn’t a perfect fit, consider other openings available at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
