Overview Registered Nurse – PCU, Potsdam, NY. This travel temporary assignment places you in a mixed-acuity unit with PCU/IMC and MS Telemetry patients. Start date 05/26/2026 for several weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,146–$2,175. No guaranteed hours. Shift is 3x12-hour Nights in a hospital setting. EPIC charting experience is mandatory. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,146–$2,175 - Guaranteed hours: 0.0 per week (no guaranteed hours) - Start date: 05/26/2026 - Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour - Assignment type: Travel - Temporary - Unit details: Mixed-acuity PCU, MS Telemetry, and surgical/medical overflow in a 25-bed unit; census ~24 Responsibilities - Deliver direct patient care in PCU and MS Telemetry populations, including surgical pre/post and overflow medical diagnoses - Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and manage post-MI care with appropriate medication protocols - Administer IV medications and operate IV/central lines; manage blood products and insulin/heparin protocols; support PCA and other cardiac drips - Provide wound care, wound VAC, chest tube care, feeding tube care, and orthopaedic post-op considerations; assist with peripheral nerve block catheters and traction as needed - Support respiratory care needs (HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, non-invasive ventilation) and care for tracheostomy patients when applicable - Collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Unit Secretary; document in EPIC per unit standards; utilize Pyxis and SBAR communications - May float to West 2, West 3, and Observation units; adhere to unit ratios (Days 1:3–5, Nights 1:3–6) and every-other-weekend coverage; RTO requests follow 7-day max and require account manager confirmation Requirements - Active New York RN license in hand to submit - Minimum 1 year RN experience; traveler applicants accepted - Must have PCU/IMC experience within the last 3 years - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; PALS and TCAR preferred - EPIC charting experience is required - Ability to work in a mixed-acuity med-surg/telemetry setting and float per assignment needs Benefits and Support - Assignment-specific pay and support provided by the staffing team - Dedicated recruitment and travel support throughout the assignment - EPIC-based charting workflow and Pyxis/SBAR-based communication - Orientation: 12 hours prior to start - Regional travel considerations and mileage requirements will be confirmed with the account manager Find more opportunities To explore other openings from Healthforce Healthcare LLC, visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply Pay disclaimer Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
