Description Position Overview: Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a PCU Stroke Unit assignment at the Ohio State Brain and Spine Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports adult neurological patients requiring progressive and stepdown-level care in a fast-paced academic medical center. Schedule: • Night shift • 3x12-hour shifts • Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM • Rotating weekdays, weekends, and holidays • Traveler will be required to float to different units within the OSU organization as needed Compensation: • Gross: $2,359 per week • W2: $24.50 per hour • Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week • Locals accepted at the same rate Contract Details: • Start Date: February 23, 2026 • Duration: 13 weeks • Number of Openings: 1 • Orientation: 24 hours Unit Overview: • PCU / Neuro Stepdown – Stroke Unit • Adult patient population • 29-bed unit • Estimated patient ratios: 1:4 Clinical Focus: • Acute stroke care and neurological patients • Post-TNK administration • Craniotomy and neuro medical patients • Lumbar drains • Telemetry and cardiac monitoring Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU or Med/Surg RN experience required • PCU-level experience with Neuro patients REQUIRED (HARD STOP) • Strong Neuro skill set required (HARD STOP) • BLS certification required • NIHSS certification required • Epic charting experience required • Ability to float to other OSU units as needed • Previous travel experience preferred • Valid compact or Ohio RN license required at time of submission • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program Heartline Staffing is a Strategic Talent Partner with Purple Cow Recruiting.
