Overview Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Tele) travel assignment in Olathe, Kansas. Start date 07/05/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay between $2,024 and $2,094. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 3x12-hour Nights. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital with a telemetry/cardiac focus. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,024–$2,094 - Guaranteed hours: none - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: 3x12-hour Night shifts - Start date: 07/05/2026 - Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital – telemetry/cardiac unit - Travel assignment with EPIC EMR Responsibilities - Monitor patient telemetry and vital signs; interpret rhythm strips and alarms; respond promptly to changes in patient status. - Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies per physician orders, including cardiac drips (e.g., heparin, Lasix, Cardizem) and other related agents. - Participate in Tikosyn (dofetilide) and Sotalol initiation processes as ordered; manage post-procedure care including TR Band considerations when applicable. - Perform frequent patient assessments, document findings in EPIC, and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team. - Collaborate with cardiology and nursing leadership to coordinate care, discharge planning, and transfers as needed. - Ensure patient safety and quality of care during night shift coverage; float to other acute care units as assigned by unit needs. Requirements - Active Kansas RN license; BLS certification required. - Telemetry experience: minimum 1 year; 2–5 years preferred. - Demonstrated experience with cardiac medications and post-procedure management (e.g., Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation, TR Band familiarity). - Proficiency with EPIC EMR or similar healthcare information systems; ability to document accurately and efficiently. - Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to float to other acute care units as needed by the assignment.
