Overview Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) – Burlington, VT – Travel assignment starting 07/13/2026 for approximately 13 weeks, 3x12-hour night shifts. Weekly pay: $2,334-$2,542. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Work in an inpatient acute care setting with teaching hospital experience preferred. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,334–$2,542 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks (with potential extension to 16 weeks) - Shift: 3x12-hour nights - Start date: 07/13/2026 - Setting: inpatient acute care with teaching-hospital experience preferred - No guaranteed hours; schedule flexibility required Responsibilities - Deliver prescribed respiratory therapies across NICU, PICU, adult ICU, and general inpatient units as needed. - Manage ventilated patients, including initiation, adjustment, and weaning of mechanical ventilation; perform airway management and clearance procedures. - Assess respiratory status, document findings, and respond to changes in patient condition; interpret arterial blood gases as indicated. - Administer medications via inhalation routes; troubleshoot and maintain respiratory equipment; ensure infection control and patient safety. - Document care thoroughly in the electronic medical record and participate in rounds with the multidisciplinary team.
