OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory care, with experience in various medical settings including critical care and pediatrics. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory issues, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care.

SKILLS

• Proficient in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, and critical care practices.
• Experience in PICU, OR environments, and ICU settings is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to respiratory health.
• Ability to perform patient assessments effectively and manage acute care situations.
• Familiarity with ventilators and airway management procedures.
• Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus.
• Competence in medication administration for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Understanding of pulmonology principles as they relate to patient care.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

-Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment.
-At least one 13 week previous travel assignment.
-Two (2) years current experience required in specialty.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $2,350.00 - $2,646.00 per week

• Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine respiratory needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including the use of ventilators and airway management techniques.
• Monitor vital signs and evaluate patient responses to therapy, making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both inpatient and outpatient settings to provide comprehensive care.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health, treatment options, and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Stay current with medical terminology and advancements in respiratory therapy practices.
