SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or knowledge of risk assessments or human resources/safety risks.
• Proven knowledge of ISO 31032 Travel Risk Management, understanding of security and safety principles and risks, knowledge of regulatory environment.
• Experience using critical thinking and analysis skills.
• Advanced communication skills, with experience working with senior stakeholders and ability to work with and respond to all levels of staff and students.
• Ability to work independently and seek advice through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven competency in technology use, including internet research, MS Office /Office 365 and will be trained in use of specific internal systems.
• Ability to provide written advice to relevant managers to inform decision making.

As a Travel Risk Assessment Officer at UNSW, you play a vital role in protecting the safety and wellbeing of our staff and Higher Degree Research (HDR) students when undertaking university-supported travel.
