JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking dedicated and skilled ER & ICU Registered Nurses (RN) with minimum 2 years work experience to join our Nova scotia travel Nursing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency, critical and or intensive care nursing, with the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a compassionate approach to nursing, particularly when dealing with critically ill patients and their families.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc Nursing from a accredited school of Nursing.
  • Emergency and Critical nursing Care skills.
  • Minimum of 2 years ER or ICU Nursing experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Active Nova Scotia RN license in good standing.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, CTAS, TNCC must have for ER positions.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CNCC or equivalent & Ventilator MGT training must have for ICU positions.
  • NRP, FHR, ENPC an asset.
  • Negative criminal / Vulnerable sector check within the last 90days.
  • Immunization records.
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ER, ICU or both settings.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and laboratory results.
  • Ventilator Management.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records as specified by NSHA.
  • Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care.
  • Assist with patient transfers.
