Overview Job title: Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech – Ultrasound specialty Location: Cambridge, MA, United States Start date: 06/29/2026 Duration: approximately 11 weeks Weekly pay: $1,737–$1,871 per week Guaranteed hours: 24 per week Shift: 12-hour nights, 2x2 schedule Setting: hospital-based ultrasound in Radiology with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities Key Highlights - Weekly pay range: $1,737–$1,871 per week - Guaranteed hours: 24 per week - Contract duration: approximately 11 weeks (with potential extension opportunities) - Shift: 12-hour night shifts on a 2x2 schedule - Start date: 06/29/2026 - Requires float to multiple area sites (inpatient and outpatient) Responsibilities - Perform general ultrasound examinations, including small parts, vascular (lower and upper extremity venous), OB/GYN (fetal survey across 1st–3rd trimester), and pediatric studies (hips, spine, head, pylorus, intussusception) - Conduct exams in both inpatient and outpatient settings within Radiology; prepare adequately labeled images and assist with preliminary interpretation as directed - Maintain equipment, ensure image quality, and adhere to patient safety, infection control, and privacy standards - Document findings and help generate accurate reports per departmental guidelines; collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams - Operate across multiple area sites as needed, providing consistent ultrasound services to diverse patient ages Requirements - ARDMS RDMS certification and AHA BLS required at submission - Minimum 3 years of ultrasound experience in the specified specialty - EPIC EMR experience preferred - Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics - Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and to float to Cambridge, Somerville, and Everett as required - Flu vaccine required during the season; RTO requests must be included at submission and may not be guaranteed after confirmation - Up-to-date resume with 3+ years of experience and 2 recent manager/supervisor references; skills checklist matching the specialty Benefits and Support - Dedicated travel support and recruiter contact throughout the assignment - Guaranteed hours and weekly pay as described - 11-week contract with potential extension opportunities based on need and performance - Assignment support and resources to assist with credentialing and onboarding as appropriate Find more opportunities If you’re interested in additional openings from Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply to view current travel assignments and submit your application.
