JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Accountant maintains adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions within TravelBank. Maintains and reconciles general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts. Prepares financial statements and reports. Maintains and develops automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures. Prepares and develops reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities. Responds to inquiries regarding accounting policies, procedures, and issues from management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Eight or more years of experience in financial accounting activities

REQUIRED PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH TRAVEL ACCOUNTING

  • Considerable knowledge of SaaS a plus
  • Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
  • Considerable knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulations
  • Considerable knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • Desire to work 5 days onsite is preferred
  • Experience with Workday Accounting is a plus

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper recording of records
  • Enter financial data into accounting systems and databases
  • Complete monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
  • Maintain accurate log of all customer contracts
  • Manually process all contract auto renewals
  • Ensure accuracy of customer accounts and account usage
  • Assist with monthly invoicing for all customers
  • Process all new contracts received from Sales Team
  • Manage reconciliation between bill.com and QBO, ensuring both systems are accurate
  • Assist in customer collection efforts
  • Track, accrue, and process customer rebates
  • Cash Application
  • Accounts Payable assistance
  • Accounts Receivable assistance
  • Assist Controller and other team mates on various tasks
  • Maintains adequate accounting and control for various accounting functions
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Develops and maintains automated accounting systems, controls, and procedures
  • Prepares and develop reports for management and/or for regulatory authorities
  • Respond to inquiries regarding accounting policies and procedures
  • Respond to inquiries regarding issues, external auditors, and regulatory authorities
