Description Traveling General Manager (1099 Contract) – Blue Cardinal Home Services Be part of something great! Blue Cardinal is looking for a Traveling General Manager to step into key markets, stabilize operations, and help drive performance across our HVAC and plumbing businesses. This is a 3-month contract role with the potential to convert into a full-time GM position based on performance. This role is built for someone who knows how to walk into a business, assess what’s working (and what’s not), and lead teams to better results quickly. What We Offer • 1099 contract role (3-month engagement) • $15,000/month + travel expenses covered • Opportunity to convert into a full-time General Manager role based on performance • Exposure to multiple markets and leadership teams • Ability to make a direct impact on business performance Requirements What You’ll Do • Step into underperforming or transitioning branches and stabilize operations • Lead HVAC and plumbing teams with clear expectations and accountability • Review P&L, manpower, and key KPIs to identify gaps and opportunities • Drive revenue, improve margins, and increase overall performance • Mentor and develop local leadership and field teams • Implement structure, processes, and best practices across locations • Partner with leadership on growth strategy and execution • Travel to Blue Cardinal locations as needed What We’re Looking For • MUST have experience leading both HVAC and plumbing operations • Proven experience as a General Manager or Operations Leader in home services • Strong understanding of P&L, KPIs, and performance metrics • Experience turning around or improving underperforming teams or branches • Ability to step into new environments and quickly build trust and alignment • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills • Willingness to travel as required Who We Are Blue Cardinal Home Services is a growing platform focused on building best-in-class HVAC and plumbing companies. Responsibilities
