Description Brandywine Counseling is seeking a Traveling / Mobile Registered Nurse for our MYTP Program! Who are We: Since 1985 Brandywine Counseling & Community Services, Inc. We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges. What You'll Do as a Traveling / Mobile Registered Nurse with us: The Traveling/Mobile RN plays a vital role in the SOAR-Multi-Year Targeted Project (MYTP), providing trauma-informed, low-barrier medical care to individuals with substance use disorders in nontraditional settings. These include homeless encampments, syringe service programs (SSPs), drop-in centers, and mobile outreach units. Deliver direct care, perform assessments, and coordinate services to address acute and chronic health needs—such as wound care, infectious disease screening, and harm reduction education Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical exams under physician direction Administer medications, vaccinations, and perform phlebotomy Provide wound care, STI evaluations, TB screenings, BP/glucose checks, and pregnancy testing Deliver contraceptive counseling and reproductive health education Evaluate for substance use disorders and recommend treatment options Educate patients on opioid agonist/antagonist therapies and refer them for treatment Respond to patient inquiries, conduct triage, and relay messages between care teams Assist with prior authorizations and insurance-related documentation Collaborate with outreach teams to engage individuals in community settings Refer clients to appropriate levels of care (urgent, primary, behavioral health) Partner with case managers and external organizations for wraparound support Participate in chronic disease and care management initiatives Ensure emergency equipment is functional and accessible Contribute to data tracking, program development, and quality improvement efforts Maintain complete and accurate client histories and charts Provide health education to individuals and communities Perform other duties as assigned by the Medical Director or Program manager in accordance with BCCS policies Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion Proficient in conducting patient assessment and clinical nursing skills (e.g., venipuncture, medication administration, wound care) Physical stamina to remain active and on-foot throughout the day Adaptability to changing schedules, locations, and high-pressure environments Demonstrated integrity, punctuality, and ability to follow instructions Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks aligned with program goals Requirements Qualifications: REQUIRED: Graduation from an accredited RN program REQUIRED: Active RN license in Delaware PREFERRED: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) REQUIRED: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification REQUIRED: 2+ years clinical experience in acute care, triage, ER, or other outpatient or inpatient settings PREFERRED: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification PREFERRED: 1 year experience in addiction medicine Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Pay: Starting at $29/hour Commensurate based on experience and education!
