Description
The Superintendent must be willing to travel throughout the United States. The Superintendent is responsible for performing on-site scheduling, layout, direction, coordination and completion of Governmental Projects for PCISS. PCISS requires core competencies that are focused on New Construction, Alteration /Renovation, Design-Build Construction Projects on Government Facilities including but not limited to USACE/NAVFAC/NAVSEA/AF, DoD, DHS, FBI, ATF, DOE, DOI, and Fish & Wildlife.   **Note: candidate can be located anywhere in the continental United States but this role will mainly support Fish and Wildlife in Georgia with potential travel to other contract sites as needed. All work will be onsite**   Responsibilities Include: * Ensure a safe work environment for all employees. * Manage, coordinate, and supervise the on-site construction process from the conceptual development stage through final construction on a timely and economical basis. * Maintain controlled documents and promptly discard or mark obsolete documents to prevent inadvertent use. * Evaluate and determine appropriate construction methods and the most cost-effective plan and schedule. * Oversee the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment, and the quality of construction, worker productivity, and safety. * Obtain all necessary permits and licenses and, depending upon the contractual arrangements, direct or monitor compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations. * Track and control construction costs against the project budget to avoid cost overruns. * Communicates at a minimum weekly with Project Manager regarding budget standings. * Meet regularly with client, other constructors, trade contractors, vendors, architects, engineers, and others to monitor and coordinate all phases of the construction project. * Document product nonconformance identified during the performance of assigned tasks and report conditions to the Project Engineer. * Ensure an OSHA, EM385-1-1, & Covid-19 safe jobsite at all times. * Monitoring the daily operations & progress of the Job Site. * Ensure that project follows the USACE/NAVFAC Three-Phase approach of the Quality Control Management - Contractors Guide and any additional requirement outlined by contract specification or Client Corporate Quality Manager directive. * Record and operate utilizing PCI-SS’s internal standard documents/software, events, incidents, observations, documents, scheduling, task management, & delivery of daily reports. * Conduct/attend Scheduled Safety, Government Progress/Production, Quality Control, Tailgate/Toolbox Meetings, and all other meetings required by PCI-SS. * Ensure As-Builts are recorded, review, develop and execute RFI's and other official directives to include but limited to CO/COR passed through Project Manager directives are executed in a timely manner with professional written/verbal communications recorded on PCI-SS standard documents/software. * Ensure Sub-Contractor Competent Personnel are present on-site and active in their crews’ daily performance. * Maintain Project Master Schedule and report any deviations/concerns to Project Manager Issue 2-3 Week Schedule Look Ahead Distribution each week Timely Communications with Sub-Contractors routinely for Real-Time commitment of manpower and meeting schedule requirements. Collection of Commissioning/LEED/OMSI Close Out Data and submit to Project Manager Accurate Record Keeping supporting Davis Bacon/Prevailing Wage Requirements of Certified Payroll Reports. * Additional requirements may be required, and we will work with the right candidate to assume the roles of the position. * Background checks additional training requirements may be required based on our clients ever evolving demands. * Performs other duties, as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelors Degree in Related Discipline AND 10+ Years Federal Construction Management/Leadership * Valid Driver's License  * Valid OSHA 30 * Valid USACE CQM-C Certificate * Valid CPR Certification  * Skill in utilizing a personal computer and job related software programs. * Skill in analyzing and evaluating complex technical data. * Skill in developing goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work. * Ability to efficiently plan and schedule job projects for the construction, maintenance, repair of various projects. * Ability to understand and apply applicable statutes and ordinances related to construction and repair projects. * Ability to read, interpret, and work from job specifications, sketches, and building plans. * Ability to compile data and prepare summaries related to construction and repair projects. * Ability to prepare clear, concise, and effective technical reports. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing. * Ability to determine and analyze critical paths.

The Superintendent is responsible for managing, coordinating, and supervising on-site construction processes from conceptual development through final completion. They must ensure safety compliance, maintain project schedules, control costs, and facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and engineers.
