JOB SUMMARY

The Treasury Analyst plays a crucial role in managing and analyzing the organization’s financial activities, ensuring efficient cash flow and optimizing financial resources. This position involves monitoring daily cash balances, forecasting cash flow, managing investments, assessing financial risks, and preparing treasury reports. The Treasury Analyst works closely with the Treasury Manager/Director to develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization’s overall goals and objectives.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or combination of equivalent education and experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience in treasury, corporate finance, or a related role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of treasury management principles, financial markets, and investment instruments.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present financial information to various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve financial issues.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Monitors daily cash balances, ensuring adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.
  • Prepares and analyzes cash flow forecasts, identifying potential surpluses or shortfalls.
  • Executes cash management strategies, including investing excess cash and managing short-term borrowings.
  • Reconciles bank statements and resolves any discrepancies.
  • Assists in managing the organization’s investment portfolio, including monitoring investment performance and conducting research on potential investment opportunities.
  • Prepares investment reports and analyses for management review.
  • Assesses and mitigates financial risks, including interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and counterparty risk.
  • Implements hedging strategies to protect against adverse market movements.
  • Monitors compliance with internal risk management policies and procedures.
  • Prepares and presents regular treasury reports, including cash flow statements, investment reports, and risk assessments.
  • Analyzes financial data and provides insights to support decision-making.
  • Maintains relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
  • Negotiates terms and conditions for banking services, such as credit lines and cash management services.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as required to ensure the team’s success.
