POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Treasury Analyst will be involved with internal and external financial and statistical reporting, ensuring compliance with cash management and forecasting, analyzing cash transactions, developing, and maintaining cash reporting templates, supporting month-end, quarterly and year-end information and reports, and internal controls. The Treasury Analyst will build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide professional financial assistance in alignment with organizational priorities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manage daily upload of electronic bank statements into SAP for approval.
  • Preparation of daily bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare daily cash flow analysis and forecast for approval.
  • Investigate and coordinate daily bank account inquiries.
  • Work with AP to resolve outstanding issues and troubleshoot account payable transactions.
  • Work with operation team to resolve local purchase transactions in AMOS.
  • Maintain and reconcile all intercompany AP balances.
  • Responsible for treasury related invoices and account for treasury transactions including load modules.
  • Review and recommend improvements to treasury processes and procedures including opportunities to explore firm banking transactions, streamline reporting and payments.
  • Prepare bank fee analysis.
  • Prepare outstanding cheque analysis.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as required- monthly cash reporting to HQ, periodic cash plan simulation, yearly business plan, and mid to long-term cash plan simulation assistance.
  • Process and reconcile government remittances (GST, HST, QST, Corporate Tax).
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to.
