In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

Cash Management/ Intercompany Funding:

• Responsible for Primark’s daily cash management process and the related cash pooling structure, ensuring accounts are appropriate funded and excess cash is centralised and visible in accordance with the underlying Treasury policies.
• Management and enhancement of the short-term cash flow forecasting process to enable informed decision making while minimising overdraft positions and surplus funds on accounts.

Banking Operations:

• Ownership of all aspects of the user rights process as pertains to Primark’s online banking portals which includes acting as an administrator on said platforms, ensuring bank mandates and POA documents are up to date, while establishing a robust process for managing the associated risks in the future.
• Management of all bank account operational tasks including opening/ closing bank accounts and KYC related queries, while providing advice/ guidance to colleagues/ leadership on banking related affairs.

Controls & Processes:

• To lead the monitoring and compliance with underlying Treasury controls and to promote a strong controls environment across the wider Finance function.
• Ensure the appropriate application of both Primark & ABF treasury policies and the Group Financial Control Framework, with further enhancements to be made to each, as appropriate.

Reporting:

• Ownership of the drafting & distribution of periodic cash and liquidity reporting to stakeholders within Primark & ABF.
• Monitoring and reporting of Primark Treasury’s counterparty exposure to banking/financial partners covering cash and derivatives
• Execute period end tasks as required to ensure Treasury meet all internal/ ABF reporting requirements.

Risk Management:

• Support the Senior Treasury Analyst/ Treasury Manager in proposals and execution of trades relating to Treasury risk management strategies.
• Support in the provision and analysis of FX, commodity and interest rate market insights and reporting.
• Manage IC foreign exchange positions and the timely clearing of the related positions.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum two years prior Treasury, Finance or Banking related experience gained working in a fast-paced, dynamic and collaborative environment.
• Previous banking portal system experience.
• Accounting (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) or Treasury (ACT) qualification (qualified/part-qualified) preferred but not essential.
• Degree in Finance or Economics preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to use data to see the “bigger picture” to make achievable, value-added recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, can present in a clear, compelling manner, has proven ability to influence key stakeholders while equally capable of challenging others and constructively managing conflict.
