Description:
Join our growing team as the Treasury & Corporate Accountant who will mainly responsible for ensuring all funds are being properly accounted for. This position acts as a resource person and resolves problems, processes, and monitors day to day transactions. All duties must be carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures and with a focus on customer service.

EDUCATION
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance is required.
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
- Proficiency in Sage 300 is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Caseware is an asset.
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Responsibilities:
CASH RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares weekly bank reconciliations for bank accounts.
- Reconciles loan accounts weekly to ensure all proceeds are accurately allocated to the appropriate loans.
- Reviews closing transactions to ensure bank deposits match the lawyer’s proceeds package and confirms all trust deposits are released accordingly.
- Enters cash receipts into Sage 300 as closings occur and updates the Database possession tab to reflect receipt of funds.
- Prepares and distributes the weekly Cash Summary Report to the Chairman & CEO, President, CFO, and Corporate Controller.
- Records and reconciles deposits for Alberta New Home Warranty.
- Provides monthly reports on deposits collected to the Executive team.
- Prepares the cash flow package for the Corporate Controller twice a month.
- Conducts weekly visa reconciliations.
- Manages GST payments, related filings, and tax installment payments.
PAYROLL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares and verifies commission with the sales staff biweekly.
- Uploads payroll journal entries and prepares allocation for billing.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Prepare some general ledger reconciliations.
- Assists with the setup of new vendors in Sage 300, ensuring proper due diligence is completed.
- Sets up bank budgets in Sage 300.
- Assist Senior Accountants with financial reporting as needed.
- Assists with GST reasonability as needed.
- Arranges couriers as required.
- Providing backup support for Accounts Payable when needed
Other duties as assigned by the CFO/Assistant Controller/Corporate Controller
