About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Treasury FX Analyst. This role will be based in 6750 Building, Makati City, Philippines. The Treasury FX Analyst is a high-impact, market-focused role responsible for managing foreign currency funding and mitigating foreign exchange risks for Chevron’s global business units (BUs). This position requires frequent interaction with banks and brokers in global financial markets and serves as a corporate-wide consultant on FX-related matters. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Foreign Currency Funding: Supply foreign currency funding for Chevron worldwide BUs via open market transactions. Ensures timely and cost-effective procurement of foreign currencies to meet the operational needs of various business units. Risk Monitoring and Management: Monitors Company’s significant, non-routine cash flow exposure to foreign currencies. Implements protective strategies to mitigate FX risks as necessary. Analyzes market trends and economic indicators to forecast potential FX impacts. Advisory and Guidance: Provides expert guidance to BUs and Senior Management on FX issues. Develops and maintain FX-related guidelines and policies. Advises on contracts and payment clauses involving foreign currencies. Centralized Control and Consultation: Maintains centralized control over all FX transactions. Acts as a consultant to embedded Treasury staff and corporate departments. Ensures compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. Financial Planning and Analysis: Generates FX rates for use in enterprise Financial Planning and Investment Decision Analysis. Assists with daily FX payment inquiries and settlements. Supports financial planning processes by providing accurate and timely FX rate information. Digital and IT Systems: Engages with Digital Core S/4HANA team(s) to ensure Treasury needs and priorities are understood and incorporated. Supports Finance Digital Platform and Treasury Risk Management (TRM) Product Line. About You We know our greatest resource is the ingenuity, creativity and innovation of our people. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of experience in FX analysis, treasury, or a related financial role. FXALL and/or Bloomberg systems experiences as highly preferred qualifications Strong understanding of global financial markets and FX instruments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Skills and Competencies Market Analysis: Ability to interpret and forecast financial market trends, analyze economic indicators, and anticipate market shifts to inform foreign currency funding and risk management strategies. Risk Management: Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating FX risks to protect the organization from adverse currency fluctuations, ensuring financial stability. Strategic Thinking: Capability to align FX strategies with long-term organizational goals, anticipate future market conditions, and provide insightful recommendations to senior management. Communication and Influence: Strong skills in conveying complex financial information clearly, negotiating with banks and brokers, and influencing key stakeholders to align with FX strategies. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to analyzing financial data, executing transactions, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all FX-related activities. Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with Treasury staff and corporate departments, providing consultative support and maintaining centralized control over FX transactions.
