WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Treasury or banking position
  • Experience in staff management

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Able to effectively solve problems and make decisions based on the best information available, including resolving emergency situations and developing resolutions between parties;
  • Works well with other team members and departments in a professional and friendly manner to accomplish mutual goals;
  • Strong sense of business ethics including the ability to handle confidential information appropriately
  • Excellent skills in Excel and Word office tools;
  • Must be extremely attentive to detail, with a follow through attitude;
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and sense of responsibility;
  • Must be flexible and able to quickly respond to complicated, time sensitive situations;

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Treasury Manager is responsible for managing the organization’s cash to ensure financial stability, optimal liquidity, and efficient use of financial resources. This role involves overseeing cash flow activities, maintaining strong banking relationships, and implementing effective cash and liquidity management strategies. The Treasury Manager leads the cash management team based in Laval, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with the organization’s financial objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Oversee the daily cash positioning and reporting;
  • Oversee short term and long-term cash forecast and global cash position reporting;
  • Responsible for approving and releasing wire transfers, Tax Payments and government payments in a timely manner;
  • Responsible for supervising all other payments in Canada such as EFT, ACH and checks;
  • Identify opportunities and support different flow of funds required for cash management or tax purposes;
  • Serve as primary administrator on online banking platforms, FX-Go and other treasury platforms
  • Responsible for maintaining banking signatory
  • Responsible for the opening and closing of bank accounts;
  • Attend for internal controls meetings and update control Narratives when needed;
  • Work with internal and external auditors;
  • Participate in the continual improvement of the tools used in the position as well as in the improvement of procedures;
  • Participate in various special projects related to all areas of finance and treasury;
  • Develop, mentor, guide and support the cash management team in Canada;
  • Assign tasks appropriately to ensure all functions are covered.
