TFS currently has an exciting full-time opportunity as the Treasury Operations Associate, reporting to the Treasury and Budgeting Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily cash funding activities, preparation of various month-end journal entries and quarterly consolidation reports and supporting Treasury related projects.
We have implemented a hybrid work environment and our head office is located in Markham, ON. Number of days worked in office is subject to role requirements. More details will be discussed during the interview process.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for daily cash funding operations including i) coordination with the Regional Capital Markets team on assessing daily cash needs; ii) preparation of wire transfer authorizations; iii) coordination of daily funding/cash movements with the Senior Management team; iv) swap settlements and bank confirmation; v) daily cash collateral settlements vi) recording and reconciliation of daily cash movements.
  • Maintenance of continuity schedules for borrowing, investment and derivative transactions.
  • Preparing various Treasury related reports and ad hoc requests.
  • Preparing month-end journal entries /quarterly consolidation reports relating to treasury activities; Reconciliation of relevant general ledger accounts.
  • Assisting in preparation for SOX requirement audits.
  • Assisting in various joint projects with other departments and with the Region to improve departmental efficiencies and support innovation.

What You’ll Bring:

  • At least 2 years of work experience, preferably in a treasury function.
  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
  • Progress towards CPA or CFA designation.
  • Working knowledge of treasury products and accounting principles.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including advanced Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Very high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
