TREATMENT COORDINATOR

Tecumseh Family Dental is seeking a dedicated and skilled Treatment Coordinator to join our dynamic team of oral health professionals.

As a Treatment Coordinator, you will be the main point of contact for our patients, ensuring they receive exceptional care. You’ll work closely with the dental team to coordinate treatment plans, manage appointments, and answer patient questions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage schedules
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain treatment options, financial details, and payment plans
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with new software and within a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of ClearDent is a plus
  • Dental knowledge and terminology required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years of dental administrative experience required
  • Experience working at general dental practice preferred
  • Dental hygienist or dental assistant licensure is considered an asset
  • Certification of dental administration or treatment coordinating is considered an asset

Responsibilities
  • Greet visitors and direct them to appropriate staff
  • Explain technical and medical information to patients and provide pre/post op instructions prescribed by the dentist
  • Receive and input patient information into ClearDent software
  • Assist with transmitting correspondence or dental records by mail, e-mail, or fax
  • Assist with various clerical or administrative functions such as ordering and monitoring dental supplies and equipment inventory
  • Process dental billing information, ensure accurate completion of insurance form and receive payments
  • Work closely with dentists to create treatment plans, document details, and coordinate with dental assistants to ensure all necessary materials and lab work are ready for appointments
  • Prepare and present financial treatment plans to patients requiring complex treatments
  • Strategically schedule hygiene patients and serve as an ambassador for the VIP Hygiene Program
  • Strategically schedule provider appointments and utilize scheduling templates as needed
  • Communicate regarding AR or Coordination of Benefits with designated MDG staff members
  • Report and analyze data for scheduling improvements and providing feedback on tools and resources for patient treatment presentations
