Within Care and Rehabilitation Services, the philosophy of our prisons is to rehabilitate offenders and equip them to re-integrate into mainstream society on release. We seek to normalise prison conditions as far as possible to reflect life in the outside community. Our aim is to create an environment in which staff and prisoners feel safe and causes of prison stress are minimised. Central to our philosophy is the relationship between staff and prisoners. Our training and operational practices emphasise the need to treat prisoners with dignity and respect and G4S staff build positive and supportive relationships with the prisoners in their care. HMP & YOI Parc accommodates 1038 convicted male adult prisoners and remand/ convicted young offenders and young people in a secure but modern environment.
We now have an opportunity for a Treatment Manager to join our team at HMP Parc.
Our team’s purpose is to lift people up and give them a chance to take control of their own lives and choices in their own time and way through the delivery of accredited and non-accredited intervention programmes. We are looking for an Interventions Treatment Manager who brings drive, knowledge, experience and motivation to the team, and a passion for making positive change. Our work is key in supporting positive rehabilitation and resettlement outcomes, and our Treatment Management team play a vital role in ensuring that our delivery of interventions is effective, in line with the requirements set out by HMPPS and delivered by a team of committed and passionate facilitators.
A Treatment Manager is responsible for ensuring and maintaining the integrity, quality and performance of high intensity accredited interventions and / or complex medium intensity interventions at HMP & YOI Parc. You will be part of a management team that promotes and embodies the ethos necessary for a rehabilitative culture

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To manage delivery of accredited interventions aimed at personal development, increasing living skills, recovery focused, interpartner violence and high intensity violence treatment needs.
  • Take an active part in overseeing development & delivery of alternative interventions focused on increasing positivity, engaging in self improvement, improving wellbeing and building a feeling of self worth for prisoners
  • Oversee development and delivery of support networks aimed at improving mental health & trauma informed treatment
  • To actively engage all staff groups as role models of rehabilitative culture in self presentation, interpersonal skills and conflict resolution approaches.
  • To promote, manage and deliver group and 1-1 services focused on substance free living targets agreed..
  • To work collaboratively with other areas in developing and delivery of services to individual communities across the prison.
  • To ensure all KPT’s are met.
  • To assist in the evaluation of the delivery of interventions and report on performance through the Interventions Integrity Framework.
  • Designated line management of facilitators.
  • To ensure that daily practice complies with MOJ Audit documents and specific operating manuals.
  • To ensure all documents and programme files are maintained at audit standard.
  • To lead on the selection of facilitators and ensure all appropriate processes are followed in a fair and equitable manner.
  • To lead the development of staff learning and actively embrace the code of conduct expected of all facilitators.
  • To represent HMP & YOI Parc at relevant and mandatory external meetings.
  • To perform promptly any other duty as deemed appropriate by the SMT and Head of Function.
