Description To provide nursing care to the residents as prescribed by the physician, and in accordance with established facility protocol, local, state, and federal regulations. Requirements Follow established standards of nursing practice to implement facility policies and procedures related to treatment and medication administration Interpret existing policies and procedures to nursing assistants, residents, families, and physicians Supervise and evaluate all direct resident care provided and initiate appropriate action as necessary. Provide clinical supervision to CNAs Conduct resident rounds as assigned to access the skin conditions of each resident and report problems to charge nurse and take necessary follow-up Identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action Compile information for facility committees as instructed Administer treatments and medications according to the physician's order and accurately record treatment and medications administered Document resident care provided and resident's response or lack of response to treatment or medication provided Assess each resident's skin condition weekly, and as necessary, including stage, size, sites, depth, color, drainage and odor of each condition Obtain physicians' orders and any revisions for treatment or medications as necessary Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
