As a Treatment Planning Specialist, you will be the main point of contact for our patients, ensuring they receive exceptional care. You will work closely with the dental team to coordinate treatment plans, manage appointments, and answer patient questions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of dental terminology.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain treatment options, financial details, and payment plans.
  • Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with new software and within a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of ClearDent is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a dental practice is required.
  • At least 3 years of dental administrative experience, ideally focused on treatment planning, is required.
  • Familiarity with treatment planning and presenting financial information to patients is required.
  • Experience working with dental insurance claims, billing, and payment coordination, within an assignment practice is required.
  • Post-secondary education in dental administration, business, healthcare, or related field is preferred.
  • Experience working at general dental practice is preferred.
  • Dental hygienist or dental assistant licensure is an asset.
  • Certification in dental administration or treatment coordinating is an asset.

    Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Explain technical and medical information to patients and provide pre/post op instructions prescribed by the dentist.
  • Receive and input patient information into ClearDent software.
  • Assist with transmitting correspondence or dental records by mail, e-mail, or fax.
  • Assist with various clerical or administrative functions such as ordering and monitoring dental supplies and equipment inventory.
  • Process dental billing information, ensure accurate completion of insurance form and receive payments.
  • Work closely with dentists to create treatment plans, document details, and coordinate with dental assistants to ensure all necessary materials and lab work are ready for appointments.
  • Prepare and present financial treatment plans to patients requiring complex treatments.
  • Strategic scheduling of provider appointments and utilization of scheduling templates as needed.
  • Communicate with designated staff members regarding accounts receivable and coordination of benefits.
