Description Gateway Rehab Center (GRC) has an exciting opportunity for a Treatment Supervisor for our Co-Occurring Residential Program in Center Township, PA. In this leadership role, you’ll provide guidance and support to both staff and patients while overseeing high-quality assessment and treatment services. As a Treatment Supervisor, you’ll lead assigned shifts, actively supervise daily treatment activities, and provide direct clinical counseling as needed. You’ll also play a key role in coordinating schedules and supporting the day-to-day work of our Treatment Support Technicians and Peer Specialists, helping to create a structured, compassionate, and recovery-focused environment. Responsibilities Provides primary, direct clinical counseling in individual and group settings, as needed. Assures that all clinical staff documentation is thorough and completed and fully meets the standards established by policy and regulatory bodies. Assists in maintaining the safety of all patients. Supervises staff regarding work assignments, scheduling, time and attendance, and performance. Supervises and directs the development, coordination, and implementation of therapeutic and recreations/activities programming, including AA/NA programming. Facilitates initial procedures for admission, including completion of required intake forms, releases, collection of initial assessment, and recommendations for treatment planning, as needed. Meets individually with patients to discuss and document treatment issues as needed for managed care or case consultation. Identifies problem areas that may hinder patients’ ability to successfully complete treatment and, in such cases, guiding patients to develop strategies to overcome these obstacles. Assists patients and their families in understanding the nature of addiction or emotional disorder; providing emotional support and information to help them identify external stressors that may contribute to the patient’s problems. Assists in the supervision of staff functions performed on the shift. Manages crises as they arise. Helps with disciplinary issues. Assists with scheduling conflicts. Works creatively as part of an interdisciplinary team. Keeps informed about new developments in the field of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Attends and/or facilitates weekly staff meetings. Transports patients if necessary. Attends mandatory GRC trainings and in-services. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge in substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and best practices in substance abuse recovery, including evidence-based interventions. Ability to effectively lead, supervise, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of Treatment Support Technicians, Case Managers, and other support staff in a treatment environment. Requirements High School diploma One year’s experience working with chemically dependent individuals. Preferred Requirements Bachelor’s degree with at least 1 year of supervision experience. Additional Requirements Pass PA Criminal History Background Check Obtain PA Child Abuse and FBI Fingerprinting Clearances. Pass Drug Screen 2-Step TB Test CPR/First Aid certification required. A valid driver’s license and favorable driving record. Work Conditions Inpatient care facility treating those with substance use disorders. Working conditions demand focus and concentration, staying alert and awake. Minimal physical demands.
