The Salvation Army Midtown Service and Treatment Center is looking for a part-time Treatment Support Specialist.  This individual will monitor all activities associated with the Substance Abuse Program including Detox, Residential, and Outpatient Treatment Programs. They will also perform duties of an Associate Substance Abuse Counselor and related duties to maintain a safe, clean, and healthy therapeutic environment, assisting clients with achieving their therapeutic goals.   This is a part-time, 24 hours per week position, with a starting wage of $15.00 per hour.  The Salvation Army Midtown Service and Treatment Center.    1 William Booth Drive  O'Fallon, MO 63366   Essential Functions: 1. Conduct client evaluation interviews, assess type of treatment required, develop treatment plan; include screenings and intakes when admitted into treatment. 2. Perform clients’ breathalyzer and urinalysis. 3. Conduct routine search and seizure procedures. 4. Orient clients upon admission into the program. 5. Conduct financial screenings and accept clients according to the program policy guidelines. 6. Answer phones and conduct screening and place on waitlist or refer to Intake Coordinator. 7. Counsel detox clients about treatment options in the program; refer to other agencies, as needed. 8. Refer eligible clients to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) in consultation with ACS/Counselor. 9. Conduct group counseling activities; Residential or Outpatient Treatment Services per ACS. 10. Lead group education sessions for Residential, Outpatient and Family Support per ACS. Full Job Description available at time of interview.  Education: High school diploma or equivalent and one-year work experience.
