Todds Nursery is a modern and progressive tree, hedge, and large shrub nursery located in the idyllic village of Southill, near Biggleswade. We are currently seeking a Horticultural Nursery Operative to join our ever-expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in varied and diverse aspects of horticulture!

Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting in the preparation of trees for dispatch, ensuring the highest quality standards.
• Operate agricultural vehicles and equipment to facilitate various nursery tasks.
• Participate in the planting of trees for both the commercial and private sector.
• Be involved with all aspects of tree growing and maintenance; inclusive of weeding, pruning, staking, spraying, potting etc
• Handling and moving of large trees with care and precision.
• Efficient loading and unloading of vehicles.
• Uphold high environmental standards and contribute to a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Strong team player with solid organisational and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn, coupled with an excellent work ethic.
• Self-motivated and capable of demonstrating reliability and initiative.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions - a love of the outdoors is essential!
• Full driver’s license required.
• Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided.
