Groundsman required
Role:
General groundsman work including:
felling,
clearance,
processing arisings
Operating: woodchipper, chainsaws and other machinery.
Working collaboratively with climbers and MEWP workers during aerial work and ensuring efficient work flow.
Setting out work sites and conducting + implementing risk assessments and maintaining safe and tidy work zone.
Driving to and from site in work vehicles.
Desirable qualifications:
Woodchipper
Chainsaw maintenance and cross cutting
UA1 / 2.1 / 2.2
First aid
Aerial rescue
(We can help gaining qualifications for right candidate)
Location:
Based in Lewes
Meet on site daily (and straight home from site)
Time:
0800 - 1700
Over time available daily and weekend work available as much as wanted.
Including time and a half and double time hours.
Opportunity to work on emergency call outs
Would suite:
College leaver/ Someone getting into tree surgery
This role would be great for someone new in the industry looking to develop their skills.
This role could definitely involve lead into aerial works, team leader position, generally more technical work.
would also suit an experienced tree surgeon looking for a ground based role
