CHAINSAW GROUND CREW, TEAM LEADS AND PICWS ARBORISTS

Abbey Tree Services are main contractors to ESB Networks in the Sligo/Leitrim area. Due to our continued growth we are currently recruiting for new starts to meet the requirements of a lengthy contract. Roles available to the appropriate candidates are, but not limited to,

• Groundsman/ Tree Surgeon Assistants (no experience needed)
• Tractor and disc saw
• Excavator operator
• Polesaw/Fibreglass Rods
• Climbing and aerial rescue
• Tree Felling and pruning
• Network timber surveying/Way leaving
• Emergency storm response
• Chipper/Mulcher
• Climbing Arborists
• Chainsaw Operator
• Experienced 360 Machin Operators
• Carry out Line Clearance on behalf of ESB Networks
• The role will involve Chainsaw Operation, Wood chipping and Vegetation Clearance

You would be working as part of a crew cutting, pruning and trimming trees and hedges under live electricity network. Ongoing training is required for these roles. Experience is an advantage but consideration will be made to suitable candidates looking to pursue a career in forestry and arboriculture.

• Self Employed/ Subcontracting roles also available

QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

• Full Clean Drivers License - min Cat B (C or CE an advantage)
• Safe Pass
• Manual Handling
• First Aid.
• Chainsaw/Pole saw/Wood chipper
• Climbing desirable but not essential
• UA1 is provided
• ESB induction is provided
