Job Details Job Location: Boca Raton, FL 33496 Position Type: Full Time Summary: General grounds maintenance work, with tree care responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; Trims trees to ensure their appropriate appearance and the safety of the residents and public. Cleans dirt from tree rings. Maintains equipment to ensure safe operating efficiency. Lays pavers in accordance with directions. Plants shrubs and trees. Removes trees when directed. Grinds stumps. Fertilizes plants and trees. Stripes roadways. Paints curbs. Maintains interior clubhouse plants. Performs minor concrete and asphalt repairs. Cleans exterior light fixtures. Performs fence repair and maintenance. Performs lake planting and maintenance. Communicates with members, co-workers, management and the general public in a courteous and professional manner. Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions. Exhibits and maintains a professional demeanor to reflect a positive image of The Polo Club. Performs other duties as assigned by the CAM Manager. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must know all appropriate safety rules. Requires knowledge in the use of all tree trimming equipment. Must be available to report to work promptly following a major weather or similar event. Ability to verbally communicate well in English and in writing. Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English. Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, co-workers and members. Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job does not have supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to members, clients, and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: No requirements.
