The Medical Triage and Biologics Coordinator is a specialized healthcare professional responsible for managing patient care coordination through triage services and overseeing the administration and logistics of biologic medications. This role bridges clinical support, patient communication, and administrative tasks to ensure timely and effective treatment delivery. In the performance of their respective tasks and duties, all employees are expected to conform to the following: Responsibilities/Tasks: Ability to communicate with providers and medical assistants Competent with the terminology needed to perform the job. Able to schedule appointments with multiple providers. When scheduling understands calls that are Urgent or Emergent Good understanding using EMA Electronic Medical Records. Knowledge of physicians’ and Providers' protocols Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize each day. Ability to work effectively as a team member with providers and other staff. Self-starter. Able to work with minimal supervision. Create a culture of patient excellence and deliver customer service. To go above and beyond for patient satisfaction. Manage prior authorizations. appeals and prescription submissions for biologic medications. Liaise with specialty pharmacies to ensure timely medication delivery. Educate patients on biologic therapies, including administration and compliance. Coordinate with providers and pharmaceutical representatives to stay current on treatment protocols Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required. Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required. Medical Assistant training is required. Qualifications: Minimum two years’ experience in a doctor’s office. Prior dermatology experience is required. EMA experience preferred. Familiarity with biologic medications and specialty pharmacy workflows. Proficient in EHR systems, preferably Mod Med - EMA Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Able to demonstrate compassion and caring when dealing with others, patients, and co-workers. Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice. Strong organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience working on electronic medical records.
