Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled LPN to join our healthcare team at Timber Lane Pediatrics. As a Triage Nurse you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care. The Pediatric Triage Nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs over the phone and in person, providing clinical guidance, and coordinating timely care for pediatric patients. This role requires critical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide safe family centered care in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities: Conduct telephone triage of pediatric patients using established protocols Assess symptoms, determine the urgency of care, and provide appropriate medical advice or referrals Collaborate with providers to coordinate same day appointments, urgent visits, or emergency care when necessary. Educate parents and caregivers on home care instructions, medications, and follow up needs. Document patient interactions and triage assessments accurately in the electronic health record. Support clinical staff with patient rooming, administering vaccines, and performing vital signs Monitor and respond to patient messages, lab results and provider instructions in a timely manner Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPA and practice policies.
