Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Primary Eyecare Services is looking for enthusiastic and clinically focused optometrists to join the Professional Service Directorate. The role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in referral triage and provide clinical support to the central administrative hub. Successful applicants will play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive timely, high-quality care by triaging referrals.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Referral Triage: As a triage optometrist, your primary responsibility will be to review referrals from optometrists, general practitioners (GPs), and other primary care providers. You will determine the most appropriate pathway for each patient, ensuring they are directed to the right service.
  • Clinical Support: Offer clinical support and guidance to the hub’s administrative team as needed, helping to address any clinical queries or concerns.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve collective objectives, ensuring a smooth workflow and high-quality patient care.
