Description

Triage Team Supervisor (Veterinary Surgeon) Wanted!
About Veteris
Veteris is shaking up the world of veterinary emergency care! We’re an independent and innovative service provider with mobile vets on the go and a 24/7 ICU at our Shoreditch hospital. Our mission? To provide exceptional care and support for pets and their owners during emergencies, and we need YOU to help lead the charge!
We’re on the lookout for a Veterinary Surgeon to become the Triage Team Supervisor—a key role that’s all about guiding and mentoring our incredible team of Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs).This is a mostly remote non-clinical leadership position where you’ll ensure the team handles emergency calls like pros, giving pet owners the best possible advice when they need it most. It’s a pivotal job, but here’s the twist: no direct patient care required—just your veterinary smarts and leadership skills!

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the Triage Team: You’ll be at the helm of our fantastic RVN team, helping them provide top-notch, empathetic support over the phone to pet owners in distress.
  • Coach & Mentor: Keep the team on point with continuous training, guidance, and support to handle any emergency scenario.
  • Be the Go-To Expert: When things get tricky, you’ll be the escalation point, offering second opinions and strategic advice.
  • Manage the Rota: Make sure our team is always ready to roll, 24/7!
  • Maintain our Knowledge Base: Keep our Notion system updated with the latest info so the team has everything they need at their fingertips.
  • Spot Trends & Report: Monitor call volumes, track performance, and report to the executive team with insights and ideas for growth.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Help us stay ahead of the game by streamlining processes and improving our triage protocols.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with heaps of experience in emergency care.
  • Leadership chops: You’ve led teams before and know how to inspire and develop your people or you are happy to come out of your comfort zone and step into another role.
  • Communication wizard: You can calmly guide both your team and pet owners through stressful situations.
  • Super organized with strong problem-solving skills: You can juggle priorities and make fast, smart decisions when the pressure’s on.
  • A big-picture thinker with the vision to improve our service and grow with us!

What We’re Offering

  • Salary up to £45,000 depending on experience.
  • Remote base role: after a 3-6 month hybrid training period (because we want you to understand how all parts of Veteris work!) the role is made to be 90% remote with once a day per week or every two weeks at our practice in London.
  • Professional development opportunities to grow with us, including continuous learning and training support.
  • Amazing benefits package: health and wellness perks, pension scheme, and professional memberships covered (RCVS and more!).
  • A supportive, inclusive work environment that values teamwork, innovation, and career growth.
  • Contact us on hr@veteris.co.uk !
