POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor, operate, and repair surveillance equipment in a timely manner to protect the tribe’s properties, assets, reputation and standards. Make additions to and deletions from the surveillance system. Conduct preventative maintenance on all surveillance equipment. Assist in the design of new surveillance equipment installations. Notify TGA Technician Manager and Surveillance Manager of any irregularities in a timely fashion. Overall responsibility for monitoring property equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Assist with installation, repair, and maintain of all Surveillance equipment in a timely manner. Configuration of all cameras. Being comfortable climbing ladders and operation lifts at heights. Maintains and operates CCTV system in monitor room. Monitors for deviations departmental policies and procedures. Maintains video library log, repair log, and malfunction log. Set tours and pre-set positions for PTZ cameras. Installation of Cat6 data cables in ceiling, walls and crawl spaces. Maintains and operates computer stations in surveillance and TGA areas. Performs other duties as requested by the Surveillance Manager & TGA Technician Manager. Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Bear River Tribal Gaming Agencies culture and demonstrating exemplary Service Standards at all times. Be completely familiar with gaming regulations, Internal Control System, the departmental policies and procedures, and have working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws. Ability to monitor other department’s policies and procedures. Thoroughly understand emergency action procedures. Cooperate with other departments in protecting assets. Attend court, hearings, and other legal meetings as a witness for gaming regulatory agencies, or law enforcement agencies when appropriate. Operate all surveillance CCTV and related equipment, and if necessary, conduct floor observations to detect any violations of law, policies, and procedures. Report to the Surveillance Supervisor any violations of the law, gaming regulations, and policies and procedures. Report to the TGA Technician Manager any technical issues. Observe the precepts of truth, accuracy, and prudence, and do not allow personal feelings, prejudices, animosities, or friendships to interfere or influence judgments. Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to the operations, controls, and procedures involved in surveillance activities. Knowledge of all casino games, including but not limited to Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Three Card Poker, Craps, Slots, and understand all relevant aspects of each game, such as dealing procedures, counting strategies and methods of cheating. Conduct routine random surveillance and “special observations” as approved by surveillance management. Conduct surveillance reviews or “audits” to confirm transactions or events. No fraternizing with Casino staff. Must be reliable, trustworthy, and honest. Other duties may be assigned. AUTHORITY/SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Must be eighteen (18) years of age. Must have High School diploma or its equivalent. Must have __6__/months of camera or computer related experience. Prefer one (1)/year as a Surveillance Agent Must pass written and visual skills tests including math and reading comprehension. Must be able to demonstrate education or previous experience in electronics background. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None COMPUTER OPERATIONS Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc. Superior knowledge of current surveillance software. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to operate standard office equipment (copier, fax, etc.). Must be able to work with American Indian people and be sensitive to their culture. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive team efforts of Bear River Tribal Gaming Agency and the Bear River Band of the Rohnerville Rancheria. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill. Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
