Job Details Job Location: Walker Hotel Tribeca - New York, NY 10013 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $24.00 - $24.00 Hourly Travel Percentage: None Job Category: Hospitality - Hotel ABOUT THE ROLE Night Auditors represent the hotel throughout all stages of the guests stay. By working with all hotel personnel, they ensure every guest experiences the highest customer care. Their responsibilities include conducting audits, balances, and reports on the various areas of the hotel (e.g., food and beverage, rooms, front desk, gift shop, etc.) to provide accurate and timely financial information on the hotels operational performance for the day. Essential Duties: Audit, balance, and report on the various areas of the hotel (e.g., food and beverage, rooms, front desk, gift shop, etc.) to provide accurate and timely financial information on the hotels operational performance for the day. Oversee front office/front desk operations during the overnight shift. Understand and adhere to proper credit card and cash handling policies and procedures. Prepare summary of cash, check, and credit card activities, reflecting the hotels financial performance for the day. Post room charges and room taxes to guest accounts. Properly secure guest information. Able to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures. Other requirements of the role: Check front office accounting records for accuracy and compile information for the hotels financial records. Track room revenues, occupancy percentages, and other front office operating statistics. Verify all account postings and balances. Summarize results of operations and prepare reports for management. Skilled in the operation of front office equipment and computers. Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette. Knowledge of surrounding areas and local events. Ability to communicate with public, hotel staff, and management in a professional manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Accounting background preferred. Previous hotel experience preferred.
