Responsibilities

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Accountability Associate to support Transactional Risk and Intelligence Group (TRIG) in performing transaction-based reviews of customers with elevated and complex risk profiles to generate actionable recommendations to line of business risk management teams.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in and provide support for low-complexity matters pertaining to the business’ policy and regulatory adherence, risk mitigation, or control efforts
  • Research, review, document, and present findings related to issues, records, policies, and procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained
  • Receive direction from supervisors and exercise judgment within defined parameters while developing understanding of function, policies, procedures, records, and other business information
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to implement actions in support of risk-mitigation and control initiatives
  • Identify customers presenting a heightened risk to the line of business through product, industry, and emerging risk reviews
  • Conducting deep research on high-risk customers and industries
  • Assessing exposure to emerging risks
  • Enhancing customer due diligence and risk baselines based on transactional usage
  • Conduct various forms of transactional due diligence reviews in support of risk management
  • Assess transactional usage to help establish a better understanding of benign activity versus further assessment needed
  • With manager support, conducts transactional reviews of customer base at the product, industry and typology risk level;
  • Engage with direct manager to develop the appropriate data needed to conduct a successful portfolio review;
  • Evaluates ML/TF and operational risks present in the portfolio to determine required level of escalation and ultimate recommendation, in consultation with manager;
  • Communicate findings and provides appropriate direction to manager and Wells Fargo Businesses
  • Participate in moderately complex project initiatives;
  • Provide incremental enhancements to existing ML/TF typologies based upon observations from daily work
