***PLEASE NOTE - Please do not apply if you are unable to work on 2nd Shift as this is a 2nd shift position*** Position Description:  Performs specific duties that will allow individual to progress in completion of summative assessment, learning tools, and application of skill/ability to complete processing of trimming to product specification. Primary Responsibilities:  • Read and review training material  • Observe task being performed  • Perform tasks by repetitive practice methods  • Ensures work performance meets throughput and yield standard requirements.  • Meet Validation Matrix expectations for all ten cuts  o Rate  o Quality  o Honing  • Meet Validation Requirements/Expectations  o Knife Skills  ▪ Maintaining Blade Sharpness  • Stroke  • Frequency  o Tools  ▪ Flat Steel  ▪ Rounded Steel  ▪ Hook  • Contributes to team efforts by performing other duties as assigned and needed.  Supervisory/Management Responsibilities:  Not applicable.  Requirements:  • Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.  Preferred Experience/Skillset:  • Able to speak English preferred.  • Meat trimming or butchering experience.  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and USDA regulations preferred.  Physical Requirements:  • Able to lift/push/pull product more than 30 pounds occasionally.  • 100% of day spent on work floor standing and trimming.  • 100% of day spent in temperatures of 40 to 45 degrees  This is a union position and comes with benefits provided by the union, upon completion of the 90 day probationary period. Responsibilities
The Trim Trainee will perform specific duties to progress in their training, including reading materials, observing tasks, and practicing trimming techniques. They are responsible for ensuring their work meets throughput and yield standards.
